Does Bentley’s Apothecary use all natural, organic and therapeutic grade essential oils and plant botanicals?

Yes, we are proud to offer the highest quality essential oils available from trusted essential oils companies who only offer third-party testing. All ingredients supplied by third-party companies used in Bentley's apothecary products DO NOT USE pesticides, synthetic chemicals, herbicides, GMOs or harmful chemicals. Our trusted suppliers adhere strictly to all USDA food safety guidelines. As part of our promise, we never add fillers, carriers or additives to our products, plant botanicals and extracts.

How long can I use Therapeutic Grade Essential Oil Balms?

At Bentley’s Apothecary, we recommend never using large amounts of essential oils longer than a 3-month/90 day period. Our Balms use therapeutic grade amounts of essential oils that can be toxic to those with sensitive or compromised immune systems. Please consult your licensed physician before purchasing and using Bentley’s Apothecary Products. Essential oils and other plant extracts have been used for generations for therapeutic benefits, and as they have become mainstream and mass produced, we can overuse, causing reversed effects from using essential oils and plant extracts.

How to use Bentley’s Apothecary Balms and Essential Oil Blends?

First, apply a small amount to a thick area of skin before using on a large area. Please allow up to 2-6 hours hour before full application, and use as directed on each balm. For Essential Oil Blends for Body Cleansing rituals, follow similar testing instructions and use as directed on our product labels.

Are our Balms Vegan? No & Yes.

The series of Balms contain Beeswax. Beeswax does not contain animal or insect flesh and is considered vegetarian. However, there are concerns with how it's harvested, as well as its effects on the bees, making it not a truly vegan ingredient. At Bentley’s Apothecary we only use locally harvested, trusted bee farmers for all of our products that contain Beeswax. All other Bentley’s Apothecary products are Vegan and created with fair-trade, sustainable ingredients.

Are Bentley’s Apothecary products safe to use during pregnancy or breastfeeding?

Please consult your licensed physician before using ANY essential oils during pregnancy. At Bentley’s Apothecary, we do not recommend using therapeutic grade essential oils during pregnancy or breastfeeding, as we believe in whole plant consumption or plant hydrosols during the sensitive growing period of a child. This means only in emergency, we recommend using the Cold & Cough or Gaia Balms to be used no more than once a day for a 3-5 day period. Bentley’s Apothecary, produced by women and mothers, so we’ve designed a special line for those who are pregnant and breastfeeding HERE.
